"Hello, I'm Savannah. I had my first experience with FlowCam as an undergraduate student and have been fascinated by the technology ever since. Before joining the FlowCam team, I worked for non-profit organizations spanning the freshwater to marine continuum. My responsibilities included plankton monitoring and education, water quality monitoring and watershed planning, as well as outreach and stakeholder engagement. I've been part of the FlowCam team since 2019, working collaboratively to help new users determine if FlowCam is the right solution to accelerate and expand their work. In my new role, I'll have the privilege of working even more closely with FlowCam users and the FlowCam team to implement strategies that help our business continue to thrive by serving the needs of the community. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, baking, and trying new restaurants & breweries around Portland!

I hold a Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, with a focus on the design and fabrication of various nanoparticles. I've embarked on this exciting journey to delve into FlowCam's cutting-edge technology, which facilitates particle analysis and more for scientists and pharmaceutical companies across the West Coast. I hold undergraduate and master's degrees in Biology and have previously worked as a Field Applications Scientist in the analytical instrumentation sector, primarily within the pharmaceutical industry. Leah Gibala-Smith, Marine Aquatic Sales Manager
"Hi, I'm Leah. Before joining the FlowCam sales team, I was the Manager of the Phytoplankton Analysis Laboratory at Old Dominion University. I conducted taxonomic enumerations of phytoplankton communities in marine, tidal, and freshwater samples using brightfield, phase contrast, epifluorescence microscopy, and fluid imaging platforms, including the FlowCam. I look forward to working with researchers and professionals in the marine aquatics space to support their needs with FlowCam. I live in Virginia with my husband and golden retriever, where we enjoy fishing, camping, and listening to live music."

I live in Kennebunk with my husband and twin girls. On the weekends, you may find us at the beach exploring the tidal pools, hiking in the White Mountains, or at my family camp in northern Maine.”
