Advancing Aquatic Research with FlowCam®

Originally developed at the Bigelow Laboratory for Oceanographic Sciences in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, the FlowCam technology was one of the first to combine the capabilities of a flow cytometer with a digital imaging microscope in order to make plankton identification quicker and easier.

Today, the FlowCam is an internationally-accepted aquatics research tool, with installations on six continents (plus occasional visits to the 7th) and onboard research vessels in every body of ocean water.
