 FlowCAM users have always enjoyed the ability to interact
visually with particle images through the use of the patented Interactive Scattergram feature, but now with VisualSpreadsheet software we have raised the bar again!
Most particle analysis systems present data collected as a tabular spreadsheet, allowing the user to analyze the data by sorting and filtering rows of particle data. VisualSpreadsheet takes this a giant step further, allowing the user to interact with the particle data just as they would in a tabular spreadsheet, but viewing
particle images instead of tables of numbers. If you know how to use a spreadsheet program, then you
already know how to use VisualSpreadsheet.
Just like a typical spreadsheet, VisualSpreadsheet allows you to sort and filter particle data based upon criteria you supply, except the results of these operations are displayed
immediately as particle images instead of numbers. Complex particle filtering can be accomplished in seconds, with immediate visual feedback! With the addition of the sophisticated pattern recognition capabilities contained in VisualSpreadsheet, you can immediately find and display all particles of a similar type found in a heterogeneous sample. Libraries of defined particle types can then be saved, and new, incoming FlowCAM data can be compared against one or more libraries to instantly enumerate concentrations of specific particle types.
