Using FlowCAM® technology, it is possible to engineer systems to measure particle size and shape in an "on-line" configuration. The FlowCAM - ES (Engineered System, Patent Pending) is the platform used to address these on-line applications. While each system must generally be custom-designed for the particular application needs, Fluid Imaging has experience in this type of environment and can serve as your partner in addressing on-line applications.

Wherever particle shape is critical in a process, imaging particle analysis offers critical advantages over traditional "volumetric-based" systems which can only measure particle size. Since FlowCAM technology collects over 30 different parameters for each particle image, the automated image recognition algorithms in VisualSpreadsheet® software can be used to characterize many different particle types in a heterogeneous mixture.
