FlowCAM® Student Equipment & Travel Grant for Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems
The 2013 Grant has been awarded! Congratulations to the winner, Kim Tucker, a Ph.D. student in the School of the Environment at Florida A&M University. Her thesis work, entitled, "Nutrient Input Effect on Karenia brevis and Pseudo-nitzschia and Subsequent Marine Mortalities in the Gulf of Mexico", will be expanded to include the entire phytoplankton community as a result of having access to a FlowCAM.

Fluid Imaging Technologies, manufacturer of the FlowCAM®, an imaging flow cytometer, is pleased to announce the FlowCAM Student Equipment & Travel Grant. The grant is open to graduate students and senior undergraduates enrolled at a North American college or university who are studying marine or freshwater ecosystems, having a focus on microorganisms. Students whose research involves the study of marine or freshwater microbial systems are encouraged to apply for the use of a FlowCAM to support their research.
